Business Information: DM and Voice Setters

Last updated: January 5, 2026

The Business Information section contains crucial details that define your business or account, giving more context to Charlie about specific topics such as industry, customer profile, services offered, and price range. You can configure this setting in both, your DM and Voice Setters.

In this article, we are going to explain you relevant aspects to have on mind, configuration, restrictions and Key insights for a better set-up.

What is Business Information?

Business Information is a structured configuration section within each AI Setter that establishes fundamental facts about your business. This information helps Charlie understand who you are, what you offer, and who you serve, enabling more accurate and contextually relevant conversations.

Unlike documents uploaded to your Knowledge Base, Business Information uses dedicated fields to capture specific aspects of your business in a standardized format.

Where to find it

  1. Go to the "Ai setter" tab in your left side menu

  2. Select one of your Setters

  3. In the right side you'll find a "Settings" menu, look for the "Information tab"

  4. Access the Business Information section

Configurations

Business Information is configured through direct text entry into dedicated fields within each setter. You'll find text boxes where you can include details about your business as comprehensively as needed within character limits.

Available Fields

  • Business Name: Your company's official name or brand identity.

  • Owner's Name: The business owner or key representative's name.

  • Industry: Your primary industry or market sector.

  • Customers: Your target customer profile or ideal client description.

  • Services: Overview of products, services, or solutions you offer.

  • Pricing: Pricing structure, ranges, packages, or relevant cost information.

  • Additional Information: Any other crucial business details that don't fit in specific fields above.

Beware that information included here will provide Charlie some input for the replies in it's conversations.

Best practices: Maintain consistency in how you describe your business across different setters unless there's a strategic reason for variation

Draft your business information in a separate document first. This allows you to refine your messaging within the character's limit

Restrictions

You cannot upload full documents in the Business Information section. This area is designed for direct text entry only. For document uploads, use the Knowledge Base or Custom Persona sections.

Character Limits

Each field has a specific maximum character count:

  • 100 characters for: Business Name, Owner's name, Industry & Customers

  • 500 characters for: Services

  • 5000 characters for: Additional information

  • 1500 characters for pricing

Key insights

  • Business Information establishes the baseline context that all other knowledge sources build upon. Get this right first, then layer additional complexity.

  • Information in Business Information fields should complement, not duplicating what's in your upload document to the Knowledge Base. Use fields for core facts, documents for detailed explanations.

  • Generic descriptions like "We offer quality service" provide little value. Specific details like "24-hour response time with dedicated account manager" give Charlie actionable information for conversations.
